NIOSH is teaming up with presenters from the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP) to present a webinar as part of our first annual Respiratory Protection Week. The webinar will include 3 presentations followed by a question and answer panel discussion.

Presentation 1: Overview of Powered Air-Purifying Respirators

This portion of the webinar will describe the different PAPRs and the NIOSH approval requirements. 

Presentation 2: The Use of PAPRs in the OR
Dr. Julie Cahn, DNP, RN, CNOR, CNS-CP – AORN
This portion of the webinar will cover AORN's recommendations related to PAPR use in the OR. 

Presentation 3: Respiratory Protection Resources: Where to go for help?
Maryann Gruden, MSN, CRNP, NP-C, COHN-S/CM – AOHP
This portion of the webinar will provide an overview of the numerous respiratory protection resources that are available for both respiratory protection program leaders and healthcare staff.
