The Challenges of Tele-Mental Health: Technology & Cross-State Considerations

This webinar will provide an overview of the practical considerations of implementing tele-mental health, with a focus on technology (e.g., hardware, software, bandwidth, HIPAA, and issues) when providing services across state lines, including licensing and legal considerations.

 

Objectives: 

Participants will learn to:
  • Understand how tele-mental health can be an effective option for child advocacy centers to deliver evidence-based practices.
  • Understand the basic technological requirements for delivering tele-mental health in a HIPAA compliant manner and where to access additional information.
  • Understand the implications of delivering mental health services across state lines and how to ensure you are staying within the law and your licensure.
